HW: How does your spirituality or belief system effect your acting?

Giovanni Ribisi: You’re talking about Scientology? People ask me about that and just to dispel any rumors over the years, it’s really a simple thing, a pragmatic philosophy. For me specifically, I go to the [Scientology center], study a course and drill what I’ve learned and then I go out and apply it. There’s definitely viewpoints that Scientologists have, specifically, as you guys know, on the pharmaceutical industry. But it’s just a pragmatic philosophy. And how it’s helped in my acting, it’s a philosophy that deals with human behavior. It really sort of covers all aspects of life, but that’s what philosophy is. So, yeah, it’s done nothing but help. It’s not a belief system as much as it is like going to a college or university.

I can swim in her presence like a coy fish making elusive darts through the dream like nightly water reflecting an effervescent moon. The cool water gently blows moisture into the air letting the warm of her heart beat a pulsing wave across the cotton tails moving to and fro. This pond is embedded in the womb deep into the part of an ancient forest where only magic dares to express itself. Miracles and hopes spring to life like wild ivy swimming across the floors of this tropical jungle dream. Birds sing symphonies of passion and mythical wood folk let themselves poke out here and there for a traveler to marvel at. Her hands hold this place standing and the love in it pure. The sky is drowned by the blasting life of her soul covering the canopy giving the fairyland a faint illumination with her pouring spirit. I walk through my lovers thicket of dream and smell the roses growing right out of the air as it’s rich with her love and tenderness. Dense with her presence, this place is magical and can only be seen by the adventurers who have enough hope in there hearts to one day find their own… little clearing of beauty…

In May, Churches of Scientology around the world will celebrate the publication of Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. A best-selling book by L. Ron Hubbard, it is now available in 53 languages with sales exceeding 21 million copies.

The Dianetics phenomena started in May 1950 when author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard's visionary work on the human mind, its problems and their resolution, first hit the bookstores.

The book rocketed onto the New York Timesbestseller list and has appeared on dozens of bestseller lists since. Its huge popularity is due to the workable methods it provides, enabling people to come to grips with the fears, upsets and negative emotions that adversely affect their lives and relationships.

Although the year 2007 is dramatically different from 1950, the need for Dianetics technology has not changed. Instead of a "cold war", there is the peril and uncertainty of the "war on terror," and man's inhumanity to man continues unabated, manifested by racism, hatred and violence.
